Simphiwe Tshabalala to Captain Kaizer Chiefs on Sunday as they Lock horns with Platinum Stars

Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana’s midfielder, Simphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala will lead Amakhosi in a crucial clash against Platinum Stars on Sunday at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Pokokwane. Shabba was given the responsibility to lead the dominating Naturena based side due to the absence of the suspended Captain, Itumeleng Khune, who picked up his forth yellow card, in a game where Chiefs smashed Swallows by 3-1 on Saturday the 20th of April at Dobsonville Stadium.

Shabba told Goal.com that he is getting closer to realising his dream when he first decided to join Amakhosi, although he said he will save his excitement until the end of the season. “The excitement is building up, but I’m not going to celebrate only to find out that we win nothing. So, I am going to save my excitement until the final day,” Shabba said.

Amakhosi will have one hand in the PSL title if they manage to obtain maximum points against Dikwena on Sunday. The good news for the Naturena based side is that play-maker, Reneilwe ‘yeye’ Letsholonyane will be back in action after he picked a red card for a reckless challenge he committed when Kaizer Chiefs played against Golden Arrows at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Reneilwe is amongst the players who can assist Amakhosi to snatch the PSL title that they last lifted eight years ago.

Meanwhile Kaizer Chiefs, Coach Stuart ‘Stu’ Baxter told Goal.com that the Sunday’s game is not a decider as he still believes that any team can still win the PSL title. ‘Our game against Platinum Stars is a title decider, because they(Platinum Stars) are still in a good position to win, even if we beat them and so is number three(Orlando Pirates),” Baxter said.
