When Julius Malema was suspended as president of the ANC Youth League, his name was expected to gradually disappear from the news. However, he continues to make headlines almost every month. While he was still president of the ANCYL, he used to utter provocative statements that landed him into trouble many times and left the people talking. These days he is usually on the news because of his legal and financial issues.

Earlier today it was reported that he appeared in court for assault. Apparently he slapped two guys on Sunday at Roomers Shisanyama where he was a Dj. Few people knew that Malema is also a Dj. I also discovered that today. The Sowetan newspaper reported that Malema appeared in court on charges of assault on Thursday and was released on a warning. His case was postponed to 2 July.

On the 20th of June, Malema will appear in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on more serious charges. He faces charges of fraud, corruption, money laundering, and racketeering.
