South African song bird Lerato “Lira” Molapo has put South Africa on the map as she has been nominated for the BET Awards. The Daveyton born singer will be flying to Los Angeles, USA as the awards take place at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday.
The awards are presented to African- Americans and other minorities involved in music, acting, sports and other entertainment fields. Molapo has just established her own Otarel Music and is due to debut on the iTunes tomorrow.
The multi-platinum selling and award-winning Afro-Soul vocalist will also head to Italy and Rome for the launch of a film she did in 2010.
