There were speculations that expelled ANCYL president Julius Malema might be reinstated after it surfaced that some leaders within the ANC were unhappy with his expulsion.
A meeting was held in Centurion on Monday the 16th where his fate was discussed. After the meeting, ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe indicated that Malema’s expulsion would not be annulled. “There are no compelling grounds for a review of Malema’s expulsion, and the ANC Youth League must respect it”, Mantashe said.
