It is a generally known fact that in South Africa there are farmers who own more than one farm or excessive land. The South African Communist Party (SACP) has called for the expropriation of their extra farms/land without compensation. This was proposed at a municipal meeting which was held in Klerksdorp, North West.

SACP provincial secretary Madoda Sambatha said,”We are for nationalization of land but our approach for nationalization of land is that the national land commission must be instituted, and it must then take administration of all the land including traditional land.” A land valuer commissioner should then be appointed so that it works equally like the auditor general and that no foreigner should be allowed to own land in South Africa.”

“It should be a principle of one man one plot. So if you are allowed to own a farm you must be allowed to own one. If you own more than one, the other one must be expropriated without compensation”, Sambatha added.
