Supersport United shared points with Maritzburg United in a goalless draw clash on Tuesday. It was the only match in the PSL.  Supersport United are currently sitting at position 5 with 36 points after 25 games while Maritzburg are at position 6 with 35 points after playing 26 games.

Moving abroad, in the UEFA Champions League Semi Final first leg, Bayern Munich beat Barcelona FC 4-0. Bayern’s goals were scored by Thomas Mûller (25′,82′), Gomez(49′) and Arjen Robben (73′).

Lionel Messi’s return from injury did not have much of an impact in this match because he did not do what he is capable of. We will see if Barcelona FC will bounce back in the second leg next week.

Monday night, Manchester United were crowned English Premier League Champions after a 3-0 victory against Aston Villa under coach Alex Ferguson. It is the 13th league title for Alex Ferguson in Man United and was the 20th league championship title for Man United after Manchester City failed to defend their 2011/12 league title.

Manchester United won by Robin Van Persie’s hatrick and Ryan Giggs was recommended by Ferguson as the key player for Man United, which proved that age is just a number as the player is 40 years old this year but still doing wonders for Man United.

Manchester United were crowned as champions although the league is not yet finished. They have 4 games left. Man United are at the top position on the log, with 84 points, followed by Manchester City which has 68 points, meaning that there is a 16 point-gap between the two teams.

Manchester United will play the remaining games just for fun because even if they lose all of them and Man City win all theirs, Man City will still be behind Man United because the maximum number of points they can achieve at this point is 80.
