Free State Stars coach Steve Komphela may still take up the role of technical director for SAFA. This came out in an interview that chairperson of the SAFA technical committee, Fanyana Sibanyoni, had with uKhozi FM earlier today.
Asked if there was still hope for Komphela to take up this position, Sibanyoni said, “I had a meeting with Steve today. I think that in a few days we will be announcing something about him.”
Last week Kompela turned down an offer to take up the role of SAFA technical director, saying he needed to focus on his team, Free Stars. However, Sibanyoni indicated that based on their meeting, there was great hope that Steve would change his mind.
