Gaming for one person might be a delightful time-sink, achievements but when you share your digital games with a friend, they feel so much more enjoyable. Co-op games lead to some of the finest moments in front of a screen that anyone can experience, whether you’re playing them while clutching a controller next to your friend or online while catching up over voice chat. So, welcome some company and bid farewell to gaming alone with a few of the titles below.

Ark: Survival Evolved

ARK: Survival Evolved is a survival game released back in 2015 that can be played alone, on privately hosted servers with friends, or on publicly hosted servers. The big draw to the game is that players can tame and command almost every dinosaur or other prehistoric creature they can find and catch, and there are extensive survival, crafting, base building, and PvP aspects to boot.

There are not many things as thrilling as riding a tamed T-rex through the forest with your friends at your side. Unfortunately, this monstrous game is also very graphically demanding, and will need better than average hardware to be enjoyed. If your GPU is in need of a boost, Intel’s new ARC and Iris ranges may be just what you need. Take a look at their offerings and read more at lenovo.com.

Diablo 2 Resurrected

Diablo 2 Resurrected is a remake of the beloved Diablo 2, released from Blizzard Studios in 2000. Resurrected includes all the content from the original game, as well as the Lord of Destruction expansion from 2001. With the ability to host eight-person online co-op, and the game available on most platforms, this is one of the best games to play with friends, but be aware that crossplay is not supported. This remaster offers a significant graphics makeover while maintaining key game features and elements. However, gamers may wish to switch to the simple 2D graphics from the original Diablo 2 for a more retro experience. Players may also enjoy the enhanced cinematics to have a better, more in-depth experience of Diablo 2‘s narrative.

Grounded

Grounded is a four-player co-op survival game that is best enjoyed with a full party friends. You play as one of four children that have been shrunk down to the size of an ant in an experiment gone wrong. You and your buddies will need to survive and figure out how to get back to normal size, Foraging, crafting, base building, and fighting are all important components of this very addictive little game, and you’ll have a far easier experience the more allies you have to help. With dozens of weapons to craft, bugs to fight, and expansive buildings to design, this title has hours of fun for players to unpack.

Many of us may only truly appreciate our favorite gaming experiences when another person is around to share our joy or sorrow. You’d assume co-op games would be more common, but it’s not often that one finds a title that a few people can play and appreciate together. Hopefully, a few of the games on this list fit those criteria, and you enjoy many long hours of co-op fun.
