Chiefs set the tone high

Kaizer Chiefs paraded their newly signed players and they have set the tone high for the new season. Chiefs made their intentions known as they embarked on their pre-season plans with a renewed energy.

The Club commenced with their announcements early and began with their newly appointed senior team coach Stuart Baxter, who has already been hard at work with his new Team. It is reported that Baxter and his technical team will work as a unit with a strong focus on both the senior team and youth development structures.

A formidable technical team comprising of Doctor Khumalo, Ace Khuse, Arthur Zwane and Rainer Dinkelacker will assist the head coach. The appointment of Stuart Baxter is a statement of intent from the Club ahead of the new season.

Chiefs marketing director, Jessica Motaung said she would like on behalf of their executive chairman, Kaizer Motaung, the board of directors and the Club in its entirety to welcome the coach. “I wish him all the best during his time at Naturena,” she said.

She added, “Last season we identified areas that needed strengthening and we are pleased to have acquired the services of Siboniso Gaxa, Morgan Gould, Sakhile Hlongwa, Brilliant Khuzwayo, Siyabonga Nkosi, Kgotso Moleko. We are in current discussions with regards to one more Player and will make further announcements once all the paperwork is finalized,” she explained.

She said their supporters have played a significant role in the past 42 years and she thanked them for their continued Love and support.
