Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach, Doctor Khumalo’s coaching skills will be tested as he will be the man in charge for Chief’s next two games. Khumalo will take the driver’s seat following the sending off of Stuart ‘Stu’ Baxter in the Nedbank Cup semi-final clash against United FC on Saturday won 2-1 by Kaizer Chiefs.
Doctor Khumalo, who was better known as ‘16V’ during his hey days as a Kaizer Chiefs player is tasked with coaching Amakhosi for the last two crucial league games, as they continue with the quest of taking double cups this season, which is the Nedbank Cup and the League title.
Stuart Baxter was sent off after the fourth official complained about the allegedly negative remarks that were uttered by Stuart Baxter.
Speaking to Eyewitness News, Doctor said they are taken aback by referee’s decision to dismiss Amakhosi’s head coach Stuart, because they don’t know what led to the decision to give Stu marching orders. Nevertheless, in spite of the fresh wounds of Stuart’s sending off, Doctor said they are concentrating on the last two pivotal league games.
“At the moment we still have a lot to do. We are not going to rest so we are still going to be working hard,” said Khumalo
The Glamour Boys are through to the finals of the Nedbank Cup, and they are also potential winners of the league title. However, Kaizer Chiefs vowed not to allow complacency to sneak into their camp. The Glamour Boys are scheduled to play against SuperSport United on Wednesday the 15th of May, and they will play the last game of the 2012/2013 of the season against University of Pretoria on Saturday the 18th of May. Amakhosi are seating on the 1st position of the log with 56 points in 28 games.
I wonder why there has to be a coach all the time. These boys are old why must they be coached every time they have to play? They know what to do so they shouldn’t lose just because the main coach was away.
