Kaizer Chiefs Fail to Beat Celtic

The 5th placed Kaizer Chiefs will head back to Naturena half-happy as they failed to collect three points from the off-form Bloemfontein Celtic on Tuesday evening at Siesa Ramabodu Stadium in a league encounter that ended in a goalless draw.

The failure to collect three is bad news for the Glamour Boys as they are in a mission to defend the PSL title.

Amakhosi set the record straight from the moment the referee blew his whistle, testing the men in green and white from all sides. Kaizer Cheifs striker Knowledge Musona’s efforts to get a goal were suppressed by Celtic’s goalie, Patrick Tignyemb.

Clinton Larsen’s warriors (Celtic) also came into this game hoping for nothing less than three points following a dismal start to the 2013/2014 psl campaign.

Other PSL Results

AmaZulu’s hopes of topping the log were unsuccessful when the Durban based side failed to snatch three points from the Clever Boys at the Bidvest Stadium on Tuesday in a match that saw a final whistle with 1 goal apiece. And the team with the heavy purse, Mamelodi Sundowns took a flight to the Mother City to face Ajax Cape Town in a clash that also ended in a 2-2 draw. As things stand, SuperSport United will continue to be the log drivers, with ten points after four games. However, AmaZulu also have ten points in the bag and are in position two because of their inferior goal difference.
