Kelly Khumalo Scores Senzo Meyiwa’s Heart?

The latest in the rumor mill is that Kelly ‘The Virgin’ Khumalo has sung her way past the goalpost and into the heart of Senzo ‘Okpara Jr.’ Meyiwa. Arguably, Khumalo is more famous for her private life than she is for her sultry and mesmerizing voice. When she first graced the music industry with her presence, she wanted the world to know that over and above being a talented musician, she was also a virgin.
That phase quickly passed when she started performing in short skirts and no underwear. Kelly Khumalo was swallowed by the chemical side of the entertainment industry and started experimenting with illegal substances. Her loyal fans supported her through a tumultuous relationship with convicted hip hop artist Molemo ‘Jub Jub’ Maarohanye. Maarohanye is currently serving a 25 year sentence at the Johannesburg Medium C Prison for murder and attempted murder after a car crash that left four schoolchildren dead and two others seriously injured.
Senzo Meyiwa recently cemented his place in the hearts of the Buccaneer faithful when his side faced TP Mazembe in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In the second leg of the CAF encounter between the two teams, Orlando Pirates played under conditions that were far from what FIFA had in mind with the ‘Fair Play’ campaign. Despite the fact that Meyiwa is married, he has been seen in the company of the vivacious Khumalo. When confronted with these rumors, the star goalkeeper said that he did not socialize with Kelly Khumalo.
These rumors come at a time when people who love and support Khumalo thought she has finally shaken off her bad publicity days. She won the Female Artist of the Year award at this year’s South African Music Awards ceremony. Since then, Khumalo and her manager Sarah Setlaelo have split ways for the second time and many wonder if Khumalo’s frequent appearances in the gossip columns of newspapers have anything to do with the separation.
