Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana captain, Itumeleng Khune promised Amakhosi fans yet another trophy. Speaking to Robert Marawa on Extra Time on SS4 on Monday, Khune vowed to come back on the show next week with a Nedbank Cup trophy. The Glamour Boys, who were crowned PSL 2012/2013 champions last week Saturday are due to meet Supersport United in the Nedbank Cup finals at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on today (Saturday) at 15H00.

Khune said Kaizer Chiefs will throw everything they have on Supersport in the efforts of keeping their ambitions of snatching two trophies this season alive. “Definitely I will come here (Extra Time) next week with a Nedbank Cup trophy,” said the confident captain. Chiefs and Supersport met last week in a PSL clash that ended in a 1-1 draw, with Amatsatsantsa’s equalizing late in the game, thanks to Sibusiso Zuma’s magical goal.

Good news for both sides is that the tickets for the Nedbank Cup Final were sold out last week Friday, which means that players will lock horns behind a packed to capacity Moses Mabhida Stadium. Delighted Chiefs Corporate Communications Manager, Vina Maphosa said: “We are excited to have the supporters voting with their pockets eight days before the match day. This is confirming the anticipation and excitement leading to a much awaited final,” said Vina.
