mushinThe Turkish born coach, Mushin Ertugral is back in the Mother City to assist Ajax Cape Town escape relegation. Ajax Cape Town officially announced Mushin as the new Head of Technical, at a press briefing early on Thursday. However, this announcement didn’t go down well on Jan Versleijen who was the head coach of the Urban Warriors until early Thursday when he resigned as the head coach. Jan’s resignation resulted in Mushin being the most powerful voice in the Cape Town based struggling side.

The Public News Hub has learnt that Mushin Ertugral will be assisted by David Nyathi who was the coach of the U/19 Ajax Cape Town’s squad. Urban Warriors CEO George Comitis said: “At a time where the club finds itself in a precarious league position, we have decided to enhance our technical team as much as possible by appointing someone who has vast experience in the local football market and who can add tremendous value wherever possible,” said Comitis.

Speaking on Robert Marawa’s 083 sport show on Metro FM on Thursday evening, Mushin said: “With the team position in the log I didn’t think about myself, but with the four games remaining to get the team off the relegation,” said Mushin.

When asked as to how he was going to deal with his Striker, Mabhudi Khanyeza taking into consideration the fallout that has previously surfaced between him and Mabhudi, he said “We resolved that about two years ago, Mabhudi is a professional he knows we need points,” concluded Mushin.

Urban Warriors, who are in position 15 with 23 points, will try to make their way up the log when they visit Chippa United who are at the tail of the log with just 20 points, in a Derby clash that will be held at Philliphi Stadium in Cape Town at 20h00 on Saturday.
