Orlando Pirates are one step closer towards reaching their dream of conquering Africa again. The Sea Robbers swam to the semi-finals of the champions league when they played to a goalless draw with Al Ahly on Sunday at Orlando Pirates.

Bucs oppressed the bowed to Al Ahly for the entire game, creating opportunities but unfortunately none were converted to goals. Overall, Bucs collected four points from the much-feared Egypt based Al Ahly.

Roger De sa’s warriors finished in the second spot with eight points and Al Ahly topped the group with 11 points, but all thanks to Zamalek, who did Bucs a massive favour by defeating AC Leopards by 4-1 in Egypt on Sunday.

However, there’s no time to celebrate for Roger’s troops as they will meet the merciless Tunisian based Esperance on the 5th of October in the semi-finals of the champions league.

Meanwhile, the busy Bucs will meet Kaizer Chiefs on Tuesday in a sold out affair of the MTN8 semi-finals at Orlando Stadium.
Bucs need a draw out of the much-anticipated Soweto Derby clash on Tuesday in order for them to book their spot in the finals of the MTN8.

Kaizer Chiefs, who defeated Platinum Stars 2-1 on Saturday in a PSL match, will come to the clash with their weapons well sharpened as they continue with their quest of reclaiming the glory.
