On the 6th of May South African boxing sent two good ambassadors of Boxing to Australia for participation in two world titles.

Both boxers came short in losing to the two Ausies. Sipho Taliwe, whose record is 24 fights, 20 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw and 14 of his wins came by knockout. Taliwe, who hails from Aliwal North, having won against former IBF champ Mzonke Fana,  was evidently outclassed by a 28 year old Australian who was 4 years younger than him.

In another fight Malcom Klassen’s career suffered a huge blow when he was evidently robbed by a decision loss to Will Tomlinson for the IBO Super featherweight championship belt.

All judges gave the fight to Tominlson (26) in what appeared to be a home decision by 117 – 110, and two judges scoring it 118 – 109.

This loss meant that Malcom Klassen suffered his 6th loss in 33 fights. According to Golden Gloves promotions an appeal to Kalssen’s decision was launched to the IBO.

While the appeal is on, the Australian remains unbeaten at 21 fights and is willing to launch his carreer in the Boxing Mecca of USA.
