Friday night, the 16th of September Cape Town’s two leading boxing Promotional Teams, DUMA BOXING EVENTS (Vuyani Nogaga) & INSANE BOXING PRMOTIONS (Cammy Fernandez & Savva Savvas) join hands in bringing to the Western Cape yet another exhilarating Professional Boxing tournament – starting at 18h45 the Theo Marais Sports Hall in Milnerton (opposite Makro, Montagu Gardens) will come alive with some serious and furious action with a line-up of some of Cape Town’s finest young fighters.

In the main fight of the evening, Nicholas Radley, unbeaten Cape Town based Light Heavyweight will have his hands full against the awkward Peter “ No Deal “ Mbowa from the DRC also based in Cape Town. Mbowa boast a record of 4 wins and 1 defeat only when he was stopped by Ludolph Pistorius, all of his other victories by way of knockout in bouts he had in the DRC and Uganda. Mbowa is also just like Radley well known on the local Martial Arts scene with a number of Thai and Kickboxing fights behind his name. Radley is a former SA Muay Thai National champion and is known as a devastated puncher and can use both hands equally well inside the ring, Radley is taller than most others in this division and this makes Radley work even so much more harder as he literally have to go down to his opponents size to wear them down. Radley had had an impressive win in his last outing at the War on the Shore series at the Wild Coast Sun when he stopped Patrick Nquda from Gabon in rd 3. Radley is currently rated nr 4 in SA and with Ryno Liebenberg in action soon in Sweden and Thomas Oosthuizen recently beating Daniel Bruwer his chances in challenging for the SA title is coming closer and closer so the Mbowa fight will be a good test for Radley.

In the main supporting bout over 6 rounds in the Middleweight division Jimmy “ The Beast “ Mabundji currently rated nr 5 in SA and coming from a very controversial decision defeat against Jhb based, Welcome Ntshingila for the interim WBA Pan Africa title. Earlier this year Mabundji stopped the then mandatory Light Heavyweight contender, Makhozonke Zwengu in the 3rd to win the Rumble 1 belt as the best boxer of the show. Mabundji however will have his hands rather full this time out against the dangerous Uitenhage based Boxer, Thandolwethu Wole, whom had had some good wins by KO this year against Dwye Rickert and Mveli Qani. Wole is rated nr 10 in the SA Super Middleweight division and trained by top rated Cruiserweight contender, Unathi Jacobs. Mabundji trained and managed by Cammy Fernandez and Simphiwe Tom is ready to ensure the rest of the Middleweight boxers is aware that he is the one Boxer not too be underestimated at all. Mabundji came to SA from the DRC with a 5win 1 loss and 1 draw record and has now improve to 10 wins-3 defeats and 1 draw with 4 by way of KO, Wole comes to the ring with a record of 8 wins all by way of ko and also 3 defeats and 3 draws.

The ever dangerous Cristiano Ndombassy will take on Port Elizabeth’s Lukhanyo Kaptein while Thembani “ Baby Jake “ Mabangatha will take on Kaptein’s stablemate, Yanga Ndobayana in a Junior Lightweight clash. In a Heavyweight bout Knife Didier will face the likeable Unati Ndlebe, Knife narrowly lost to the number 1 rated Heavyweight, Ruann Visser recently while Ndlebe comes from a controversial split decision defeat against PE’s JP Pretorius s both Knife and Unati will come out with those fire spitting punches they are known for so expect fireworks and remember the old old saying don’t blink just one punch can end the bout in a Heavyweight clash. Top rated Amateur boxers, Gregory “the Hitman “Gans, Faeez Jacobs, Tyson Esau and Schoolboy Dilwakho all make their respective pro-debuts.
