Eusebius McKaiser Dies At 45 Following Suspected Epileptic Seizure

Well-known political analyst, author, journalist, and broadcaster Eusebius McKaiser has died unexpectedly at the age of 45 following a suspected epileptic seizure, his manager Jackie Strydom told several media outlets on Tuesday.

It is reported that the former Radio 702 talk show host died in the afternoon of the 30th of May 2023 at his home in Johannesburg. His death came as a shock to many people as he had not shown any signs of illness and had been active on social media earlier in the day.

McKaiser, who was born in Grahamstown, held a BA, Honours and Masters degrees in Law and Philosophy from Rhodes University. Following the news of his passing, the university released a statement sending its condolences to McKaiser’s family, friends, colleagues and everyone else who knew him. The last part of the statement read, “He was a free spirit and a great human being. Rhodes University, its Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sizwe Mabizela, and all its alumni send heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and all who knew him. May his great soul rest in eternal peace.”
