Mafikizolo star Nhlanhla Nciza (41) and her music producer husband Thembinkosi (Tk) Nciza (45), are getting divorced after 15 years of marriage.
Nhlanhla, who has been in Europe for the past few weeks as part of Mafikizolo’s international tour, announced the news of their split in an Instagram post on Thursday. “After almost 15 years of our strong bond of marriage, my husband TK Nciza and I have come to a tough but amicable decision to bring an end to our union.”
“We shall remain on good terms and continue our endeavor to be great and exemplary parents to our children,” she said.
She then asked for privacy for her family for the sake of their children. “We appreciate the support we’ve received from family and friends. At this stage we would like to appeal for privacy, particularly for the sake of our children. We thank you.”
The announcement came as a shock as the two seemed happy together. On Sunday, Nhlanhla shared a sweet message to her husband, wishing him a happy father’s day. “Happy Father’s day Rhadebe Mthimkhulu, thank you for being such an awesome father to our boys. You are truly a blessing,” she wrote.
The couple, who got married in 2004, have three sons: Nkululeko (17), Thamsanqa (16), and Luvuyo (7). Their daughter Zinathi died in a car accident in December 2009 at the age of 5.
