The headline on the cover reads, “AKA shoots from the hip.”

AKA becomes the first South African musician to cover GQ. The October 2016 issue apparently, will be available on our shelves on Monday but in the meantime, here (below) is shot of the cover from AKA’s Instagram account.

The Super Mega is constantly nominated and ranked as one of the best hip hop artists in the country. It’s definitely not a surprise that AKA would make the cover of GQ South Africa. Rocking a black blazer, AKA tones his style down by losing the ripped jeans with a tee look, and keeping things more simplistic with a white shirt, without a tie and jewellery pieces. A look we’ve seen him pull off and embrace a lot lately during his red carpet appearances.

AKA & GQ aren’t strangers when it comes to working together however. If you remember, back in 2013, he had GQ&A and earlier this year, he shared his epic AKA moments on Instagram. A lot has changed since 2009, but one thing that’s remained the same is AKA is the Super Mega of Hip Hop.
