Former PSL champions, Supersport United will visit Golden Arrows in Durban with the upper hand. Head-to-head history of these two teams reveals that Supersport United has beaten Golden Arrows more times in their meetings. Amatsatsantsa who are seating at position seven with 36 points will go all out on Sunday at Princess Magogo Stadium, North of Durban to secure three points.

If Gavin Hunt’s warriors manage to pull three points they will have 39 points, thus moving to position four in the log. Abafana Bes’thende and Matsatsantsa a patori have exchanged swords for 25 times in league encounters since 2000/01. Supersport United have claimed 13 wins compared to seven for the Durban side, while just five matches have been drawn.

The Durban-based side, Golden Arrows, have won four of their 12 home matches against SuperSport, suffering six defeats in the process. When these two teams met in the 1st leg in Tshwane, they played to an entertaining 2-2 draw. Take nothing away from Abafana Bes’thende who will go into the clash against Supersport as wounded Lions as they suffered a defeat in their last game against Bloemfontein Celtic last week Sunday at Free State Stadium.

Golden Arrows are currently in position 13 with just 28 points in the bag. If they manage to snatch three points that is at stake they will have 31 points and they will move to position 11 in the log. This game is anticipated to be a thriller because Supersport will visit Golden Arrows with the aim of absorbing three points so that they move up the log and maintain the top 8 standing, whilst Golden Arrows will also welcome Supersport with nothing in mind except for the win so that they can move up to the log and closer to the top 8, which they once won in 2009 when they hammered Ajax Cape Town by 6-0 in the MTN8 cup finals.

This game will be live on SABC 1 on Sunday the 28th at 15h00. Another match that will take place on Sunday the 28th is the top log encounter between Kaizer Chiefs and Platinum at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane at 15h00, and it will be broadcast on SS4.
