Kaizer Chiefs midfield maestro, Reneilwe ‘Yeye’ Letsholonyane has assured Kaizer Chiefs supporters that he and his teammates will pick themselves up and soldier on after they were smacked down by the relegation-haunted Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday the 1st of May by 3-1 in Cape Town.

Speaking to Kaizerchiefs.com, Reneilwe said, “We always approach games with a mentality to win and it was no different against Ajax Cape Town. We knew that it was always going to be difficult to come here (Cape Town) and get full points considering the position Ajax is currently facing in the ABSA Premiership standings. We need to put this game behind us as soon as we can. We have to respond quickly as we can,” said Yeye.

The Glamour Boys will meet the first division side, United FC on Saturday the 4th of May in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup. Many have tagged this encounter the David and Goliath battle. Will David (United FC) defeat Goliath (Kaizer Chiefs)? This is one question that is in the minds of many soccer fans.

Building up to the critical encounter of the wounded Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, Reneilwe said: “The fight is on and we are going to give another 100% to win our next ‘final’ against United FC. We thank the supporters for their support and we would like to urge them to continue to rally behind the team,” added the Soweto-born midfielder.

Reneilwe Letsholonyane told kaizerchiefs.com that he and his teammates are not fazed following the defeat in the hands of Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday.

Amakhosi have always been kicked out of the Nedbank Cup by the ‘so-called’ underdogs in the previous years, Kaizer Chiefs suffered shock defeats by lower league sides Baroka FC and University of Pretoria in the Nedbank Cup. Therefore the Naturena based side needs no reminder not to undermine United FC on Saturday.
